The Starbulls Rosenheim sign American forward Wyatt Schingoethe just before the transfer window closes. The 23-year-old will pull on the green-and-white jersey with immediate effect, filling the last available import slot on the roster.
Schingoethe grew up in the USA and developed through the North American college hockey system. Over several seasons in the NCAA he put up consistent scoring numbers, impressing with his hockey sense, finishing ability, and presence in the offensive zone. After college he gained his first professional experience and now brings international ambitions to Rosenheim.
This season Wyatt Schingoethe has been in outstanding form for the Stuttgart Rebels in the Oberliga, recording 26 points in just 15 games. His signing gives the Starbulls added depth up front and another weapon heading into the crucial final stretch of the season.
Head coach Jari Pasanen on the new signing: "Wyatt has a great foundation and spent four years playing at a high level at Western Michigan University. He's a fast, highly dangerous forward who has proven his quality in the Oberliga. What's especially important for us is that he's a two-way forward who can play both the wing and the center position. That flexibility gives us extra options in our game."
With the signing of Wyatt Schingoethe, the Starbulls' roster planning for the current season is complete. The Starbulls Rosenheim extend a warm welcome to Wyatt Schingoethe and wish him a successful remainder of the season in Rosenheim.
