Frequently Asked Questions from Away Fans

Everything you need to know for your away visit at the SPIE Arena.

Around Matchday

Where can I buy tickets as an away fan?
Tickets for all categories are available online under the Tickets section — please note that there is no separate category for "standing room tickets for away fans." Tickets are also available in person at the TicketZentrum Rosenheim (Stadtverkehr Rosenheim) — there is no box office at the stadium on match day. Doors generally open one hour before puck drop.
I've got my ticket now, but how do I get to you?
Detailed directions from all directions and for a wide range of transport options can be found on our "Getting Here & Parking" page.
Which entrance should I use as an away fan?
There is no separate entrance for away fans at the SPIE Arena — both entrances can be used by everyone. The away fan section is located between the "Mangfallkurve", the home of the Starbulls fans, and the "Mitea Block" on the main stand. Away fans who prefer to watch the game seated are recommended to use the "Mitea Block" adjacent to the away standing section, or one of the other seating blocks.
Is there something for a little snack or a bigger bite to eat and drink?
For your culinary needs, there's plenty to enjoy outside the arena, including nicely chilled Flötzinger Bräu beer, delicious steak rolls, fries, and more. If you've got a little extra time and a serious appetite, be sure to check out our Mangfallstub'n, accessible through the left entrance of the SPIE Arena. There you'll find everything a food lover's heart desires — and your thirst will be well taken care of too. Inside the arena, several food stands are spread throughout, offering light snacks, alcoholic beverages, and soft drinks. During the winter months, the obligatory mulled wine is of course not to be missed. Beneath the scoreboard, you'll also find a number of vending machines stocked with coffee, sweets, and more.
Is it cold in the arena, or does it feel more like a sauna? What else should I keep in mind?
The SPIE Arena is a classic ice rink where temperatures can get seriously cold in winter. So dress warmly — good warm footwear in particular is strongly recommended. Inside the arena, flags and banners are welcome, as are drums, rattles, horns, and yes, believe it or not, even vocal performances are positively encouraged. We do ask all travelling fans, however, not to even attempt to smuggle pyrotechnics into the arena. It's not only dangerous and distracting from the game itself — it would also be a shame to make the long trip, only to end up being escorted to the nearest police station by the officers on site.
The game is over, but I'm not ready to head home yet. So what now?
Those looking to celebrate — or more likely commiserate — after the game, we recommend the already-mentioned Mangfallstub'n. It's a popular spot where fans gather to dissect the game over a drink or two. If you'd like to see more of the city beyond the SPIE Arena, the Rosenheim city centre is the place to be — and it's best reached on foot.
I'm tired, where's the best place to stay overnight?
Rosenheim offers a wide range of accommodation options to suit every budget. Here are a few tips for you: Gasthof und Hotel Höhensteiger — gasthofhoehensteiger.de Vogtareuther Hof — vogtareuther-hof.de Hotel St. Georg — sanktgeorg.com
You've thought of quite a few things, but I still have some other questions.
