Scoring threat for Rosenheim: Kharboutli joins the Mangfall

The Starbulls Rosenheim are strengthening their roster for the upcoming season with Samir Kharboutli. The 26-year-old German-Czech forward joins from DEL side ERC Ingolstadt and has signed a two-year contract.

The left-handed shooter made a name for himself in recent years above all in the DEL2. After two seasons with EV Landshut — including the 2023/24 campaign, in which he recorded the best points-per-game rate on the team — he picked up right where he left off at ESV Kaufbeuren, once again demonstrating his offensive firepower in impressive fashion. In the 2024/25 season, the 1.80 m forward posted 51 points (24 goals, 27 assists) in 49 appearances, averaging more than a point per game.

Those performances earned Kharboutli his next step up, and last season he gained valuable experience in the DEL with ERC Ingolstadt. The time spent competing at the highest level gave him important impressions he is now set to bring to Rosenheim.

With this signing, the Starbulls add an offensively gifted player who can make an impact both as a goal scorer and a playmaker.

"Samir is a very interesting player with a lot of pace and offensive potential," says Starbulls head coach Jari Pasanen. "He has shown in the DEL2 that he can score consistently and take a game into his own hands. On top of that, he has now gained experience at DEL level, which has taken his game to another level. We are convinced that he will play an important role for us and be able to showcase his qualities to the fullest."

Samir Kharboutli is equally excited about the new challenge: "I'm really looking forward to Rosenheim. The club has a great ice hockey tradition and passionate fans. The team is ambitious and has a lot of potential. Everything I heard beforehand was positive, and I'm very happy to be part of this club going forward."

The Starbulls Rosenheim are delighted to welcome Samir Kharboutli to Rosenheim and wish him a successful start in the green and white jersey.
