Starbulls Rosenheim sign Canadian forward Keaton Mastrodonato

The 25-year-old joins from the LA Kings organization to Upper Bavaria.

Starbulls Rosenheim announce the signing of forward Keaton Mastrodonato. The 25-year-old Canadian arrives from the Greenville Swamp Rabbits of the North American ECHL — the farm team of the AHL's Ontario Reign within the Los Angeles Kings organization — and will suit up for the Green-and-Whites starting in the 2026/27 season. The physically imposing center bolsters the Starbulls' offense with a player who has impressed at both the college and professional levels in North America.

Standout College Player, Seasoned Professional

Keaton Mastrodonato, born September 13, 2000, in Powell River, British Columbia, played in the Canadian junior league with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in the BCHL before spending four seasons at Canisius College in the NCAA. There he developed into one of the premier players of his class: in 123 NCAA games he recorded 97 points (46 goals, 51 assists) and led his team in scoring three consecutive times. His talent did not go unnoticed — he was nominated twice as a candidate for the Hobey Baker Award, the most prestigious honor in U.S. college hockey. In 2023, he capped his university career as captain of the Canisius Golden Griffins by winning the AHA Conference championship. After graduating, Mastrodonato turned professional, playing for the farm teams of the Dallas Stars (Texas Stars), the Colorado Avalanche (Colorado Eagles), and most recently the Los Angeles Kings (Ontario Reign / Greenville Swamp Rabbits). In total, the 6'1", 205 lb center has accumulated 155 points in 212 professional games across the AHL and ECHL. In the 2025/26 season he stood out as the team's top scorer with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and was called up to the Ontario Reign in the AHL four times. In February 2026 he showcased his scoring touch in impressive fashion, tallying eight goals and 14 points in just 13 games. With his move to Rosenheim, the Canadian is making his first foray into European hockey.

Mastrodonato himself is looking forward to the new challenge:
