New Addition for the Offense: Rubeš Joins Rosenheim

The Starbulls Rosenheim are bolstering their roster ahead of the upcoming season with an experienced, offensively gifted player: Tomáš Rubeš joins from Blue Devils Weiden.

Rubeš has been one of the defining players at Weiden in recent years. Across the two Oberliga seasons 2022/23 and 2023/24, he was an absolute cornerstone of the team, delivering consistently strong offensive performances. His hockey sense, finishing ability, and presence up front made him a central figure in the Blue Devils' attack.

Following promotion, Rubeš proved his quality in the DEL2 as well, demonstrating that he could bring his offensive punch to the next level and hold his own at that standard. In his first DEL2 season in 2024/25, the 33-year-old racked up 57 scoring points (21 goals and 36 assists) in 52 regular-season games. Last season, however, injury brought him to a halt, forcing him to sit out from mid-December onwards. Even so, he had been firmly on top-scorer pace prior to that setback, posting 21 points in 20 games.

"Tomáš is a very skilled forward who has taken on a leadership role on the top line in Weiden for years. We're convinced he can fill that same role here and make a significant impact on our offensive game. The injury slowed him down a little last season, of course, but he'll be back to full fitness over the summer." — Jari Pasanen on new signing Tomáš Rubeš.

Tomáš Rubeš himself is looking forward to his new challenge in Rosenheim with great excitement: "The Starbulls are a fantastic and ambitious organisation, and I'm really happy to be part of it going forward. When we visited with the family, we felt at home straight away — we loved the city and the surrounding area. We can't wait to start our new chapter here."

The Starbulls Rosenheim are delighted to welcome Tomáš Rubeš to Rosenheim and wish him a successful start in the green and white jersey.
