New Goalie for Rosenheim: Fießinger Comes to the Mangfall

The Starbulls Rosenheim are bolstering their roster ahead of the upcoming season with the signing of Daniel Fießinger. The 29-year-old goaltender will take his place between the pipes for the Starbulls going forward.

Daniel Fießinger brings not only consistently strong development in recent years, but also an impressive résumé. From a young age he gained experience at the highest level, logging appearances in the DEL and competing internationally in the Champions Hockey League. He also progressed through all of the DEB's youth national teams.

Fießinger's playing style is an ideal fit for the Starbulls' profile, and he is set to provide the team with the stability they need in goal. His size gives him the ideal attributes for the modern goaltending game. At the same time, this signing allows the Starbulls to retain flexibility in filling their import roster spots.

"Daniel knows the league very well and has shown over the years that he can be a strong backbone," says Starbulls head coach Jari Pasanen. "He brings composure to the game and gives the team confidence."

Daniel Fießinger is looking ahead to the next season in Rosenheim with great anticipation: "I'm really happy the move worked out. I have nothing but great memories of playing against Rosenheim and of the arena. That makes me even more excited to be out on the ice there every weekend — and to play with the home fans behind me."
